The Beast of Dufftown Unleashes a NewWhisky Series Bursting With Bold Flavor: Mortlach Neverbound Release 01

The first release in the new Mortlach rangeis all about flavor, cask maturation, and precision. As always, the distilleryemploys its iconic 2.81 distillation technique to craft a uniquely characterfulwhisky.

After distillation, this release matured inFrench oak casks that were air-dried for four years at a cooperage in France’sCognac region. This tempers the harsher edges of the wood influence and allowsthe whisky’s umami character to shine.

Dr. Craig Wilson, Master Blender atMortlach Distillery, explains that this approach is new for the distillery anda perfect fit for the whisky’s character.
